We later come face to face with the horrors of the Pol Pot regime as we visit Toul Sleng, a school that was gruesomely transformed into a torture chamber under the Khmer Rouge and the Killing Fields where over 10,000 people were executed. This is Cambodia’s recent history and although some people may find it disturbing it gives an understanding of why Cambodia’s population are mostly aged under 35. Afterwards enjoy the evening at leisure – the river front area is popular for its bars and cafés for a great night out.

Afterwards return to your hotel to freshen up and enjoy dinner (own arrangement) before we cap the night off with a visit to Phare Circus (Seat B). This spectacular event, held under a traditional big top tent, Phare is a non-profit Cambodian association improving the lives of children, young adults, and their families with art schools, educational programs, and social support.
